故事發生在丹佛市郊，比爾皮爾森是一個家庭顧問，他自己的家庭卻學要一些心理服務。他整日和那些失常的家庭工作，下班後他回到自認為完美的家，而事實上這個家混雜著荒唐可笑、不可預知以及和那些家庭一樣的其他亂七八糟的事情。
Set in a Denver suburb, The Bill Engvall Show stars Engvall as Bill Pearson, a family counselor whose own family could maybe use a little dose of counseling. He works with dysfunctional families all day and comes home to what he sees as perfection, but in reality they are somewhat absurd, unpredictable and just as mixed up as any other family.
